"Enlightenment anniversary of Avalokiteshvara blessing ceremony" programme jointly hosted by Ven Palden Nyima Rinpoche and Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew attracted a large number of worshippers to the event.
The nineteenth day of the sixth lunar month is Avalokiteshvara Enlightenment Day. Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, the founder of Golden Horse Digital Investment Bank (GHDIB), and Venerable Palden Nyima Rinpoche, the founder of the Kunzang Chokhor Ling Buddhists Association, jointly hosted the “Enlightenment Anniversary of Avalokiteshvara Blessing Ceremony” program on Sunday in conjunction with the Avalokiteshvara Enlightenment Day. A group of sangha members from the Three Yanas was also invited to the event to preside over the blessing ceremony.
The event is free and open to all worshippers. The programme has attracted a large number of worshippers to the event. Besides worshipping, "bathing the Avalokiteshvara" and making offerings of lights, flowers, and fruits to pray for family wellbeing.
Worshippers also admired Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew's collection of over 200 Avalokiteshvara statues, including the 33 exceptional finely crafted Avalokiteshvara statues. In addition, a free vegetarian buffet was provided to all the worshippers. A variety of goods were available for purchase during the event, including goods related to Tibetan Buddhism.
